Comeback VO2 max workout

It’s almost unbelievable that it’s been over five months since my last workout of this kind (unless you count a couple of races here and there). This was on Sunday, 5x1k around Beaver Lake. Conditions were perfect, but it was a solo effort, with mostly stationary 2min recoveries.

3:23, 3:22, 3:23, 3:23, 3:18.

This didn’t feel so easy toward the end. But then, perhaps I’ve just forgotten what a good, hard effort feels like.

The next day I was hoping to do a long run, but that was unrealistic. Managed to run for 1hr15mins, nonetheless.
