Not sure that it’s a recommended practice, but tonight I did some (not many, eight or so) fast 100m repeats at around 90% effort. No timing involved, it’s too late to bank any training for Victoria — I just wanted to stretch out and feel like a runner again. Which I do, sort of. Normally, I’m more excited about Victoria as it’s one of my favourite races, but I suppose that having to take last week off has put things in perspective. It could go either way — the time off and the feeling of relative calm might work to my advantage and I’ll hit 27:30, or it won’t and I’ll struggle to go below 28:00. We’ll see.

Yesterday: 10km.

Today: 7km.
