Sweet recovery

A very steady long run, yesterday. The plan of sticking to the plan is going according to plan, nothing too fancy re:fast finishes. The mileage is what it is, but more importantly, my knee only hurts now when I’m running downhill, and the calf muscles of both legs are basically 100 per cent better.

It was one of those days that makes me feel truly blessed to be a runner in Vancouver, due in no small part to one of those whole-body, runner’s highs! Also, it’s so warm and spring-like that the cherry trees are blooming. I had to do a double take on noticing this.

Today: 4 miles
Yesterday: 12.5 miles
Last week: 34 miles.
